Kuba Chojnacki is a painter, born 2001. an architect by training, with a bachelor from poznań university of technology and an ongoing master’s in cracow. he spent time in an architecture studio in italy before turning fully to painting. today he works from a studio in cracow, driven by a single pursuit: color and the gradient.
statement
i make abstract paintings: color absorbed directly into unprimed canvas. i’m drawn to the moment before a color becomes a name, when it is still pure sensation. the pigment is poured and moved by gravity; what matters is what i leave alone. i want the viewer to slow down, and to feel without needing to explain.
